About The Car

As the second generation Porsche 911, the “G Series” was introduced in 1974 and spanned a 15 year to 1989. In 1984, Porsche revised the base G series car with the 911 Carrera, claiming to have revised 80% of the previously used engine and marked the first time Porsche had used the “Carrera” badge since 1977. Amongst these updates was a new 3.2L flat 6 motor with Bosch Motronic Fuel Injection capable of 200hp and 175 ft lbs of torque that propelled the new 911 to a 0-60 time of 5.3 seconds, updated interior, and front facia while keeping the iconic “accordion style” impact bumpers per US regulation, and a gargantuan “whale tail” spoiler making the 911 the epitome of 80’s cool. With its sub-3000 pound lightweight construction, classic Porsche rear-engined balance, 80’s styling, and rev-happy motor, this Porsche is perfect for anything from spirited canyon driving to Park City cruising.
